It's the day before Thanksgiving.  The paperback of Turning Angel came out yesterday, and we're waiting on numbers, just like the movie business.  Local web designer Sam Jones is redoing my website, and it's shaping up well.  There's usually a lot of talent close to where you are, if you look for it.  I'm also working on plays for this weekend's flag football tournament, to raise money for my kids' school.  Too old for this, but trying to win it anyway.  Ex-college football players playing.  We'll see.

This is the only time of the year that my mind can be even partly at rest---the brief window between finishing the last book and starting the next in earnest.   I already have new book ideas, but this is the time that some of the best ideas just drop out of the sky.  My son killed his first deer this past weekend: how Southern can you get?  He actually killed two.  I'm not a hunter, but I'm surrounded by so many of them that I put some local color about hunting into True Evil.

Anyway... if Turning Angel makes you mad, as it has some people, this is the place to vent.   Later.

Greg - I am a true fan of your books. My favorite authors are Jeffrey Deaver, Michael Connelly, Dennis Lehane, Brian Freeman...and yourself, of course. You are a release day, hardcover author for me...you can't get better than that...congrats. I wish you would visit the Chicago area for a signing sometime...maybe someday. Keep them coming...you do a great job!
